The Valentine Area Arts Council is trying something different this year.  We are providing an opportunity for the community to create some hands-on art.

One of our area's local artists, Jan Knispel, will be holding an art class.  In this class, the participants will be making a collage like the image seen on the left.  

This class will be held at Mid-Plains Community College in Valentine, NE on Saturday, April 13th from 1-4 PM.  Please register at Mid-Plains Community College at 402-376-8033 by Wednesday, April 10th.

The cost for the class is $45 per person. This cost DOES NOT include the materials to make the collage.  Click on the link below to find the list of materials needed.  The list is long, but these items are easily found in town or at home.  Check out Country Fabrics & Crafts on Main Street in Valentine, The Dollar General, or Family Dollar for supplies. 

Remember that Mother's Day is coming up in May. This is a great time to make a special gift for your mother or to make yourself a beautiful keepsake.
